Biochemistry Experiment 2

In this experiment, the unknown sample was tested to detect and identify the presence of carbohydrate using standard qualitative biochemical tests. Various tests such as Molisch’s test, Benedict’s test, Fehling’s test, and Iodine test were performed to observe characteristic color changes and reactions. The results obtained were compared with standard observations to confirm the type of carbohydrate present in the given sample. This experiment helped in understanding the identification of carbohydrates and developing practical skills in biochemical analysis.
